The Jungle book

The animals tell each other that Man is a very weak, poor animal, and it is not fair to touch him. They also say - and it is true - that man-eaters get sick and lose their teeth. The sound of the tiger grew louder, and it ended with a roar. The tiger was attacking, running at the man it was hunting. Then there was a sound of pain and anger from Shere Khan.

"He has missed. He did not catch what he was hunting" said Mother Wolf. Then she heard another sound. "What is it?"

Father Wolf ran out of the cave for a short distance. He heard Shere Khan who was still making a noise. "He is stupid. When he attacked the man who was cutting wood, he jumped into his fire." said Father Wolf . "Tabaqui the Jackal is with the tiger."

"Something is coming towards us," said Mother Wolf, listening carefully. "Get ready, because it will be here soon." There was a noise in the grass, and Father Wolf put his back legs under him, ready to jump. Then, if you were watching him, you would see the most wonderful thing in the world - a wolf stopping his jump after he had started it. He stopped because when he jumped he couldn't see what he was jumping at. Then when he saw, he tried to stop himself.
