"I think this is the window of the room where you used to sleep. The middle window is your sister's room, and the next window is Dr. Roylott's bedroom."

"That's right. But now I am sleeping in the middle room."

"Until the building work is finished, I understand. But I do not think that the building work was necessary."

"I am sure it was not. I think that Dr Roylott wanted me to move from my room."

"Ah! that is interesting. Now, on the other side of the bedrooms is the corridor. There are windows in the corridor, of course?"

"Yes, but they are very small windows. No-one could get through them."
