Jack: Sal, do you know any good local restaurants?
Sal: Sure I do. What's the occasion? Jack: I would like to invite Susy for a Valentine's Day dinner, so I am thinking about something rather posh. Sal: What kind of food does Susy like? Jack: I think she eats pretty much everything. Although she did mention once that she is not very keen on red meat. Sal: OK, let's see. There is Michels downtown. They specialize in French food. It's excellent but expensive. Jack: Is that the restaurant just next to the bank on the Main street? Sal: Yes that's the one. Jack: I called them last night but they are fully booked. Sal: OK, how about the Greek restaurant near the new shopping center? I think it is called 'Sage and Vine'. It has good food and is never very crowded. Jack: Yes, that would be nice. But it's a long way off. Sal: I'll tell you what. There is a new seafood place just two streets from here. It has a friendly atmosphere and if Susy likes fish she won't be dissapointed. Jack: Thank you. I think that may be a good place to go. I'll try booking tonight. Sal: I hope you both like it. |
