Boudicca was born almost 2000 years ago. She was queen of the Iceni, a tribe in the east of England. She fought the Romans, because they were cruel to her people. She destroyed their cities of Colchester and Londinium. (Today Londinium is called London). She was defeated by the Roman general Paulinus and killed herself by taking poison.
