Tara likes the place where she lives. Why? Well, one reason is that it is near the beach, and she spends a lot of time there in the summer.
She is getting ready for the beach now. She is in her bathing costume, which is a two-piece costume, or bikini. You can see she has her beach-bag, her hat and her sun-tan lotion. she needs the beach bag to carry things in, and the hat and lotion to stop her getting sunburned. This is what Tara looks like when she is sunburned, and it is very uncomfortable.
Here's Tara on the beach. Sometimes she likes to lie on the sand and sunbathe. She has a light tan, which means that her skin has gone slightly brown in the sun. When she gets too hot, Tara takes a swim - ah, here she goes now. Tara is a good swimmer. She likes to do breast-stroke, but when she wants to swim fast, she does a crawl, like this.
There are lots of things to do even when the water is too cold for swimming. There's rowing in a boat like this, when Tara uses oars to pull the boat through the water. An oar looks like this. But Tara prefers a paddle, which looks like this, and which you use for boats like this kayak.
But now it's still very warm, and because it is a bit windy Tara's going to try windsurfing, which is a surfboard - this, and a sail - this. Put them together, and you get this. Here's Tara windsurfing. She's very good, and does not fall in the water often, but if you do, that is part of the fun.
So Tara goes swimming, sunbathing and boating. But there's one thing that she likes to do on the beach more than all the others. That's right. Beach parties. Have fun Tara, and see you next time!
