The owners of more than a hundred boats have already said that they wish to follow the captain's body to the grave. No-one has seen anything at all of the large dog. This has caused much sadness. The way people are feeling right now, I believe the dog would be adopted by the town. The funeral will be tomorrow. And that will end this - one more "Mystery of the Sea."

8 August. Lucy was very restless all night. I could not sleep either. The storm was frightning. Listening to the loud noise it made over my head made me very afraid. Strangely enough, Lucy did not wake up, but she got up twice and dressed herself. Fortunately, each time I awoke in time to stop her. I undressed her without waking her, and got her back to bed. It is a very strange thing, this sleep-walking.
