English for Everybody collects no personally identifiable information about our visitors, although as with most websites, our servers automatically log the number of visitors to our site, number of pages viewed and so on. The IP number is also recorded as the server needs to know which computer to send the web page to.
We actively discourage users on our board 'Ask the Prof' from giving personally identifiable information including full names and email addresses. However, for obvious reasons we need the names and addresses of those who buy our products from the website. However, we will not contact purchasers once an order has been completed, and will not undertake any 'follow-up marketing'. Nor are these personal details passed on to any other organizations, and nor do our partner organizations do this.
Note also that Google adsense advertisements are shown on these pages, and Google might use both cookies and web beacons in the course of showing these advertisements. Other than showing adsense advertisements, English for Everybody and Biscuit Software do not participate in the collection of this data and do not have access to it.
It is possible to set your web browser so as not to accept cookies from websites. Doing so allows you greater privacy, but also makes using the internet more cumbersome. Details of how to disable cookies or restrict their use are available in the help files of most web browsers.
