About PET Test 1 Test 2 Test 3

Introduction.

This test checks your fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation. You need to be able to give your name and where you live, and you should be able to give descriptions of places and things, talk about things that interest you, and make plans for the future.

The test has four different parts. There is a general conversation, which checks that you are able to function in English. The second part is often a task, where you have to do something like ask another person about what they like to eat, or do in the evenings. The third part has the students looking at two colour photographs, and describing and comparing them. The third part is more general, and the examiner will ask more general questions. Normally these questions will have something to do with an earlier part of the test.
