Punctuation

Mark the sentence with an unneccessary comma by clicking on the radio button. Once you have made your choice the sentence with the unneccessary commma will turn red.

1.) The sky was blue, the day was sunny. 
She took her bicycle, and a picnic basket.
She met Sam, whom she invited to the picnic.  

 

2.) If you see Mark, tell him Marie is here.
Marie and Mark have been friends, for years.
Marie, who is French, met Mark in Belgium.   

 

3.) As everyone knows, tea is England's national drink.
However, many people prefer to drink coffee.
Both can be taken, with or without milk and sugar.   

 

4.) Open the box, taking care not to break anything.
Then take the vase, complete with wrapping paper, out of the box.
Only then, should you remove the wrapping paper altogether.   

 

5.) I had a dream, the one I often have.
When I'm lying on the beach, of a deserted island.
There's no sound but the sea, no-one there but me.   

 

6.) Her favourite colour, is black.
If you are not sure, black is always a safe choice.
Black might be boring, but it goes with everything.   

 

7.) He saw a kitten, a small fluffy kitten.
The cat looked back at him with pale, blue eyes.
He stroked it, then looked around for its mother.   

 

8.) Take these pills, before you call the doctor.
If they don't help, call him in a hour's time.
And don't worry, you will be fine.
