Punctuation

Some of these sentences have correct punctuation and are right, others are wrong. Click on 'That's right' if you think a sentence is correct, and click on 'That's wrong' if it is not correect.

 

1. For supper he had fish and chips; for dessert; cake, custard and ice-cream.
2. He lives at, 23 Oak ave Islington, in London.
3. You know you can do it therefore, you don't need help.
4. It you see him, ask him where he is from, and also ask why he has come.
5. The man; whom I saw yesterday is a farmer.
6. Read this book; otherwise you won't know what we are talking about.
7. We need to take boots, a compass, a tent and lots of warm clothing.
8. This is written as 'abbr.' ie, it's an abbreviation.
