John: Hi Pam how was your holiday?
Pamela: Oh it was great. This year the weather has been excellent so we spent a lot of time under the cherry tree in the garden. John: Is this the famous cherry tree you have been talking about so much? Pamela: That's the one. You know, my parents have had that tree ever since I remember and each summer it produces a huge amount of cherries. A real feast. John: And how are your parents? Pamela: Oh they keep themselves busy. They have been doing a lot of house renovations recently. They were actually in the middle of redoing my old room, so I was moved to the attic. John: Was that a problem? Pamela: No, not at all, I always liked our attic. As a kid I always thought it had lots of old treasures, but I was rarely allowed to go there. John: Wow, I was brought up in an apartment, so never had an attic. Pamela: Well, maybe I can convince you to come with me next year. John: We will see, I may take you up on that offer. |
