Chris: Good morning. I'm here for an interview. Can you tell me where the personnel office is?
The waiter: The mamager's office is down the corridor, to the left. Chris: Thank you. 'In the manager's office' Chris: Excuse me, my name is Chris Butler. I'm here for a job interview. The Manager: Oh yes, we are expecting you. Come in and have a seat. 'Chris sits down' The Manager: So tell me, how long have you worked as a chef? Chris: I finished my chef's course in Paris and worked there as a trainee chef for one year. The Manager: Have you ever worked in an English restaurant? Chris: Not as a chef, but I was a waiter for two years in Oxford before I went to Paris to do my course. The Manager: Could you let me know who the head waiter was in the Oxford restaurant? Could I also have a contact person from the Paris restaurant you were working for? Chris: Of course, I will forward you the details this afternoon. The Manager: Good. Jane here will show you around the restaurant and then she will take you to our Chef for a chat. We will be in touch. Chris: Thank you. The Manager: Thank you for coming. |
