Third conditional

Look at the sentences and then fill in the gaps. You will need to use one or two words each time. Look above the sentences in red to see the words you will need, and put them into the gaps in the right form. E.g. 'had gone' for 'go'. See if you can fill in all twelve spaces correctly!

 

1. She did not pass her exams because she did not study hard enough    (study/pass)

3. We did not go for a walk because it was not sunny    (be/go)

5. Pete had an accident because he was driving too fast    (drive/have)
If Pete more slowly, he would not have an accident.    
6. Our football team did not play well and they lost the game    (play/win)
