Writing

In this part of the test you have to write two essays in two hours. The first essay is compulsory. You will be given a topic of general interest to write about and two ideas or themes that you must include in the essay. You will also be required to add another idea or theme of your own. The essay length should be between 140 and 190 words.

In the second part you can choose one of three types of writing. You might choose to write an article, a review, a report or an email or letter. Again you will need to write between 140 and 190 words.

We cannot mark essays on this website, so your essay practice must be shown to a tutor.
