You are having lunch with your friend. During the meal, you have to make some requests, and answer some requests too. Try to choose the right answers from the questions below.


At Joe's Hamburger Bar

1. The person on the next table speaks to you.
Man: Excuse me, could we use your salt? Ours is finished.
You say:
a. Ok, in a moment.
b. Yes sir, here you are.
c. Please help yourself.

2. The waiter comes to your table.
Waiter: Good evening. Can I get you something to drink?
You say:
a. I'll have a coffee, please.
b. Thank you very much, waiter.
c. Get me please coffee.

3. Your friend asks you for the sugar.
Friend: Would you pass the sugar?
You say:
a. Please help yourself.
b. Certainly, with great pleasure.
c. Sure, here you are.

4. You want to see the menu.
You say:
a. Waiter, I read the menu, please.
b. May I see the menu please?
c. Please for the menu, waiter.

5. You want to ask your friend the time.
You say:
a. Excuse me, do you have the time please?
b. Tell me the time.
c. Do you know what time it is?

6. The waiter comes back to your table.
Waiter: Would you like to order?
You say:
a. I'll have a hamburger, please.
b. Give me a hamburger, waiter.
c. Do you mind if I can have a hamburger, please?

7. You want the ketchup on the next table. There is a woman sitting there.
You say:
a. Madam please to give ketchup.
b. Sorry, please I have no ketchup.
c. May I have some of that ketchup, please?

8. You want to pay for your food.
You say:
a. May I have the bill, please?
b. Sorry, I pay now.
c. Please waiter, for the bill.
